After graduating from university and moving to Bath, I made the decision to start up my own web development company. I was working as a freelance web designer whilst I was at Oxford, so this was a very natural progression for me. Please see the Fruity Solutions website for more details.
All my work was customer facing, and involved weekly trips to high street computer stores in order to motivate sales personnel and promote specific brands (namely Hewlett Packard and Toshiba). I was awarded the highest level of commendation for my work, and increased sales of Toshiba laptops three-fold during my visits PC World.
Assisted in the redesign of the the Siemens corporate intranet, as well as working in the IT support department.
I am a friendly, imaginative, hard working and determined person with a positive attitude towards everything I do. I thrive on new challenges, and I am always looking for new ways to do things. I enjoy working as part of a group, but I can also be a strong leader, keen to listen to other people and make decisions when necessary.
I am highly experienced in internet consultancy, web application development, e-commerce, database architecture and usability. I am proficient in the following languages and applications:
I specialise in corporate graphic design and branding, and I have a great deal of experience in working with both digital and printed media. I am also skilled in animation, photo retouching and 3D modeling.
I play guitar and bass, and have performed countless times as part of a five piece band and acoustic duet. I love writing, recording and producing music, and over the years I've put together a small home studio which sports a lovely antique Seck 12:8:2 mixing desk.
Recently I have discovered the joys of cooking, and since buying a house I have also become a bit of a home improvement enthusiast. I am a competent four ball juggler, and am still working on five.
